Chris Lovett is an Architect in the SQL Server group at Microsoft Corporation. He is a key
participant in the development of XML technologies for Windows, the .NET Framework and Visual
Studio. Before Microsoft, he co-founded Walkabout Software, Inc. in Los Altos California
which was aquired by Microsoft in 1997. In the early 90's he worked as a Senior Software
Engineer on an object oriented operating system at Taligent, Inc. which was an Apple/IBM
joint venture. He moved to America in 1990 to work on OS/2 system software at IBM.
Chris studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of New South Wales in Australia.
